Frank Morven

Frank was born and raised in Prince Rupert, British Columbia and his Indigenous ancestry is tied to the communities of Metlakatla (Tsimshian Nation) and New Aiyansh (Nisga’a Nation). Frank is in the unique position to blend Western counselling and mediation orientations with traditional Indigenous practices of collective and restorative healing. Coming from a large extended family, Frank feels strongly in the importance of familial relationships and human connection.
Scholastically, Frank holds a Master of Arts degree in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, a Master of Arts degree in Public Administration from the University of Victoria, a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Thompson Rivers University, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University. He has a certification for Family Mediation, for conflict resolution specializing in mediation/third party intervention, and an associate certification in conflict coaching from the Justice Institute of British Columbia.
Frank has spent over 20 years working in the public service. He has had a decorated career receiving numerous achievements and recognitions. Frank has been delivering various group programs including Respectful Relationships, Substance Abuse Management, Living Without Violence, Sex Offender Group Maintenance, and Skills for Success. Frank is a Clinical Traumatologist trained with the Traumatology Institute, and he is certified in delivering Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) through the EMDR Centre of Canada.
